Job Description
The Sales Analyst will be responsible for compiling and analysing sales and market data, providing feedback and insights to guide sales and promotional activities in both new and existing markets.The successful candidate needs to be able to analyse large amounts of data, review trends, identify sales and commercial opportunities and provide guidance that will support and enhance the company’s sales strategies and increase market share. The sales analyst will also coordinate the marketing activities in Europe such as tradeshows and campaigns, and work with the supply chain team to assist with production andinventory requirements to help meet customers’ demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and growth
- Monitor and analyse competitive activity, customers and market trends
- Compile and analyse sales and market data and prepare accurate reports from internal and external
sources - Assess pricing, costs, competitors strategies and appraise pricing related requests from external partners
- Monitor and evaluate sales performance, and recommend adjustments when required
- Forecast market demand, sales potential and expenses
- Present actionable information and insights to team members and management regularly
- Contribute to the development of sales plans and objectives
- Coordinate local marketing activities such as tradeshows and marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure supply chain and production is
informed of future demands - Support the Sales departments in customer and market-related data, activities and projects as required
- Oversee the company’s marketing budget and reimbursement claims. Track marketing performance and
return on investment and prepare reports.
Qualification:
- Degree in business, accounting, marketing or finance
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (spreadsheet, database) and CRM software
- Problem-solving and analysis skills
- High level of organisation and detail-orientation
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
- A good attitude toward teamwork as well as the ability to work independently
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritise
- Excellent time management
Preferred:
- Experience in sales analysis
- Strong research and data analysis skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Projection and forecasting skills
